REVLON colorstay whipped cream~$29.90 at Watsons.
First look: the packaging looked so chic and classy, very like a high-end foundation!
Holding it: damn its heavy i tell ya! comes with a glass tub/bottle with a plastic lid...you CAN break someone's head with it...not recommended for travelling! pls keep it at a safe plce and NEVER let it drop..
My shade: 320 warm golden!
Colour range: very bad...only 5 or 6 shades...and the difference btwn the second last shade which is 320(above) and the last shade which is 340, is HELL A LOT!!!
i thought this was a tad bit light for me...but Caramel(340) is sooooooo dark on me! im not very dark for an indian you know...if anything, go for a lighter color because you can always warm your face up with a bronzer! or even a darker shade of powder if you're gonna set it with a coloured powder...
thankfully for me, i have my new Sephora bronzer and my Essence matte bronzing powder which comes in a huge compact for almost a lifetime supply! hehehe :P exaggeration..
The texture: it really feels like whipped cream! kinda like a thick mousse...pretty thick & heavy! so be careful, you only need a small amount...start little by little and then build up! the first time i used it...i thought like any other foundation and ended up caking my face with this!
i have used it only twice so far! but im really liking it...after a whole month of using mineral foundation only, im back to using liquid foundations with this one...not because i didn't like mineral foundation...but i was too excited when i saw this on the shelf and i was like, I MUST TRY IT! so i broke the 'no liquid/cream foundation' rule i kept for myself to try this baby out! ;)
before blending.
effortless blending! you can use a synthetic flat paddle brush or a flat-top kabuki brush or even your fingers...its recommended to use with fingers, on their website! try different ways and see which one works the best for you! :)
after blending.
its seriously long-wearing.. the two times i used this, i didn't use a primer(because i was so excited to try that i actually forgot!)...i didn't even set it with any sort of powder! i went straight into the foundation and it stayed perfectly the whole day i was out...i didn't end up being oily or any sort...i personally feel you don't need to set it even if you have oily skin because it finishes matte!
Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (i didn't give a 5 because of its dangerous packaging :P)
