New makeup brand! Random purchases!
Essence in singapore!!!!!!!! Thank you Yogam for introducing me to their products :))
EVERY SINGLE damn product of Essence are BELOW $10...everything!!!
All their foundations are $8.30 and i guess, those are the most "expensive" item.
Mousse foundation in Honey.
I have tried everything...and i have been using all three products together, ever since i bought last Thursday! because im so obsessed with them...
This mousse goes on like silk! kinda reminds me of my Laura Mercier silk cream, but not as heavy as that...it has a very light-weight feel to it! heres the difference:
LM silk cream foundation:
liquid, thick thus feels
heavy,
full coverage,
decent staying power,
satin finish.
Essence mousse foundation:
mousse(duh!), goes on very smooth,
light-weight, medium coverage,
doesn't last long(not as good compared to LM),
super matte finish.
i cant say which one i prefer...both glides on smooth on skin! but for long days i will not use Essence mousse.. i realise it doesn't really last...coverage wise LM is better...but Essence's can be build-able or the extra step, concealer! i love the matt finish of Essence, i swear you don't have to set it! but i still do set it, if im gonna be out for long.
Setting powder.
so after using that mousse, i set it with this! just a teeny bit, because the mousse itself has a matte finish...just for the sake of setting it :P
i LOVE my ELF high-definition powder...its most favourite powder ever! i use it every single damn day...and theres still tons left of it... so when i saw this, i got very excited...its not HD, but its still translucent...i prefer to use tranlucent, when i use a heavy, full coverage foundation (LM silk cream, Revlon colour-stay, Estee Lauder maximum cover) so that, i dont cake up my face! lol
i cant say if its any different from my elf HD powder...i have only tried this, on top of my essence mousse makeup...which is already matte! so i cant tell how well it sets other dewy/satin foundations...it sets my face well...so i guess im happy with it! i have yet to try it with other foundations...but as of now! it works :)
and! after setting, i use...
Matt bronzer in no.2
Good colour pay off, nothing to dramatic...shows up on my skin tone! i don't use it for precise contouring...for that, i use MAC's Blunt to contour...
this Essence bronzing powder i use it, pretty much at the same place as i would contour but not for the purpose of slimming my face or anything...it just gives such a nice warm colour to my face...so i use it at the hollows of my cheeks, tempels, forehead(near hair-line) and jawline...
I have one/two foundations which are a skin tone lighter for me so it ends up looking ashy on me...so i use a darker-coloured powder to set my face with those foundations, which works! but it ends up looking cakey at times...so what i do is, i set it with a translucent powder and then, go over with this bronzer pretty much all over my face... perfect!
ohoh! and i got a free Essence pouch and a free nail polish because i spent more than $10...
Pretty navy-blue flow clips from H&M!
lol starting to wear brighter colours now...i never did, but when i saw the orange, i was like wow!! the colour combination, really caught my attention! especially this shade of orange...so i immediately got it! :P
$15
Far East Plaza
And this!!! is my most wanted, dying-to-buy dress! its red, leopard print and what i love abt it: the cut-out at the bottom of the dress! its the new trend now, short at the front and long at the back...
they had other colors...like the normal leopard print colour(yellowish brown)...but for a change, i went for red! and it was definitely much more outstanding then the normal print...
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! always wanted to wear such a dress with this cutting at the bottom... XD
can't wait to rock this out!!!
