Make-up artist for the NDP indian dancers! :DD
My cousin sis is taking part in the NDP this year...cut long story short, i was called to do their make-up for them, for the full dress rehearsals and on the actual day!!!!!!!!!!!! i was called last week, but i had school so i couldn't go...my sis kinda managed to do her own makeup and for the rest...but according to her mum, cousin screwed her eye make-up! so my sis begged me to come tmrw onwards...its such an honour for me :')
I saw their costume...colors are 50% blue, 30% pink and 20% gold...so ytd, i pulled out all my makeup stuff and was just experimenting and i came out with this!
Shimmery blue and a black smokey eye with a touch of gold!
very sorry for my unruly eyebrows, i've yet to go for threading! :P
and here are some things i packed! not a lot, because the dancers will be
bringing their own stuff too...i'm mainly gonna do their eyes...
ELF makeup brush cleanser, Bobbi Brown shimmer brick, some face and eye brushes!
in my kit: FUSO black eyeliner, Maybelline gel liner, Ardell eyebrow gel, sharpener, NYX jumbo pencils in Milk and Black bean, MI-FI base(used as foundation), MAC carbon e/s, ZA eye makeup remover, Urban Decay primer potion, Majolica gold e/s, Silkygirl bare classic pallet, Blue pigment loose e/s and SASA eyebrow pencil.
some Q-tips and makeup sponges...
oh! lol my sis called, while i was packing and she said someone stole her blush -.- so she asked me to bring mine, and i chose MAC mineralize blush in LoveJoy, cos it shows up great on medium-dark skin tones!
its been a long time since i packed my makeup kit/case...the last time i did makeup for others, was for my best friend, Geetha's
21st birthday! which was few months ago, in Feb! she called me over to do her makeup for her...and of course, i was more than happy to render my service! :P and i don't think i blogged abt it, did i? nope i didn't...i totally forgot! >.<
i rmb blogging abt the one i did for my friend, Jaynthi's birthday photo-shoot last year Dec, but not this one! so yeap...this was what i did for my best friend's 21st! Pink glitter, purple crease with a pop of gold!
so yeap...i think in total, i've done abt 5-6 makeup services outside, though i dont get the time to blog abt all...but im really happy, i get such opportunities WITHOUT having to go out and ask... :P i have enough friends and cousins who know im a make-up addict to call me for events...and i do it for free :)
its all for the passion man! XD wait let me finish my degree in Business in 2 years time and i shall start charging ppl! :P
