New found love: Manicare foundation brush!

yes yes, I still love my MAC 188! but on the days i feel like having a full coverage, i use either my hands or my Body Shop foundation brush because 188 which is a stippling brush, gives an air-brushed look, which is great! but its really sheer coverage...regardless how heavy your foundation is, when you use a stippling brush, the coverage drops! but if you're gonna use concealer after that, it should be fine...

i practically don't like to waste my time in the morning to apply concealer, so i prefer a full coverage foundation so that i can skip concealer and save some extra minutes! so the days when i am having break-outs or bad redness i don't use my 188, since i am lazy to apply concealer! :PP


and i found this in Guardian. I actually saw this before, like months and months ago...always thought of trying it...because it looks different...its not flat like a typical foundation brush! so out of curiosity i bought it...used it, and i am LOVING it now! see the difference below...

thats my Body Shop brush at the left, look how flat it is...and look how thick and dense the Manicare one is!



Just look how fluffy it is man.. its so soft! and its cheap too! oh and, no streaking problems with this one! maybe because its not flat and stiff like the normal brush...My Body Shop one streaked on me :( which is why i bought MAC's 188 :)) and now i bought this :P


Next up, new mascara!























Bought last month's Cleo magazine, and saw this featured in it...Za's new range of mascaras! They have 3 types- Lengthening, Volume and Wide eyes. Got the volume one. Wide eyes mascara, is a comb type which i hate! and erm, being an Indian, our lashes are fairly long to start with it, so ya...LOL! oh ya, i still have my Lancome Hypnose one though :P

Its a soft-pink-nude! LOVE to combine this with my Maybelline's watermelon..
So i apply, 1) cream blush right after my liquid foundation 2) apply loose powder all over to set the foundation(not concentrating too much on the cheeks) 3) top it of with the powder blush. But if you prefer to have the natural stain to your cheeks, then skip the last step!







and i redeemed this UD tinted moisturizer with my $40 voucher, but had to top up $10 lah! :PP and this is smthg i don't have...really! i know what you guys are thinking, what doesn't she has!!?? hahaha...no, THIS i don't! tinted moisturizer.

so with that purchase, i'm going to change my foundation routine a lil...am gonna alternate my liquid foundations(above) with these 2 below.

























i usually alternate between my LM silk cream and my MUFE hd foundations (or sometimes with my Revlon colorstay)but now, i have decided to add on this combination to my foundation routine; UD tinted moisturizer + MNY powder foundation. If you have perfect skin (just don't even talk to me!) you can go ahead with just the tinted moisturizer alone...lol! but i do need some coverage...some days i may need even more, so i'll use my liquid foundations then! no, not all 3 foundations together -.- duh!

oh! oh! speaking of MUFE...i rmb my last post was about my purchase of the HD foundation...so here's my take on it!
Medium-Full coverage. (Though it is not as full coverage as Revlon's or LM's.. for me what i do is, i apply a layer all over my face and then apply again, just on the spots that may need a lil more coverage! It covers well enough, no need concealer! :DD)
Dewy finish.

Those with oily skin, you can use this! simply, because its oil-free! just that the finish is NOT MATTE, thats all! Revlon's one is also full coverage, just that the finish is really matte.

About my Laura Mercier foundation, i don't think i did a review on it! So heres a quick one.

But the texture of the MUFE & LM is different though! The MUFE's one is pretty normal...its neither watery, nor thick like Revlon's one...Revlon's one is pretty thick and it dries out fast! This does not, so its easier to work with! LM's one is...as its name suggests! Silk cream...so, basically the texture is silk.. lol! very easy to smooth out...and a great foundation to use with fingers!

ok enough blabbering! gosh...post is pretty long already, and i've not even gotten into the most exciting part (as the title suggests! >.< )

i actually wanted to give away the sample size of the perfume to one of my friends...anybody wants?? :P but no...lol, because i thought "why the hell did they give me the sample size of the same damn thing, when i bought the actual size!??" and then i realized, "ohh its not the Burberry body perfume, i bought! its the intense one!!" and i really got excited...so i'm keeping it! ^.^


so yesterday(and today! and tomorrow!) i have no work! yesterday had compulsory leave(CL) which is yaayyy! but not for 3 days!!! pay is gonna be pathetic for next month! >:O
Last month already had 3 CLs, thats like $64 a day x 3days!!! 192 gone. -.-" and this is only the FIRST week of Oct and i already have 3 CLs!!!!!!!!!!!

Today i was suppose to go work, but that stupid CK called me yesterday and said, last minute don't have...grrr! then tomorrow also CL sia!!! i mean, CL is great...can go out and all...but think of the pay!!!! anyways, tmrw we are going for Real Steel! :DD and my movie mates never did change from the last time round...its Me, Yogam, Ivan & Joseph! we went for Johnny English 2 weeks ago...cos thanks to Zuraidah she screwed up last min! and tmrw again, she can't make it...so its the 4 of us again!

REAL STEEL HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so yesterday, i went over to Zuraidah's house in the morning...was there from like 9am - 3pm sia!!! i wanted to go shopping early in the morning...but which shop will be open so early, some more weekday! so i thought i might as well spend my MORNING in her house...but she dragged it till afternoon! -.-" thats sooooooo Zuraidah :PP

so this is her awesome room!


























i bought breakfast over and she has this cute-tea-party-style table and stools beside her bed...so we ate there!

























































really love her room! she painted her room green & her window grills white, to match her bed frame! i got inspired by her and i'm wanting to paint my window grills and bed frame white too! i already got my room painted though...mum brought in contractors...so thats done! but the black window grills are so boring! but she suggested me to paint them brown to match my sunny yellow walls and bold orange borders...and to also paint my bed frame brown to match the windows! weekends...i shall gather my cousins over to help! heheh ;)

oh and she has a super duper cute kitty-cat, named cherry! but it was sooooooooo scared of me lah! because it was my first time there, so it refused to come near me and was literally scrambling in aidah's arms...but later it started sniffing me...she said, it was trying to recognise me...and then eventually it got familiar with me to the extend i could carry and cuddle it! sorry forgot to take picture of Cherry! :PP

so thats about it...its a hell long of a post! so i should quit rambling! XD
