Mane Attraction.
◕ Friday, April 22, 2011 | 0 Talkie(s) ◕
So yeah, the past few weeks i've been into my Mane! (yes i'm a Leo, a lion, that is why mane is used! lol) and for those who don't know, i cut my hair 2 weeks ago! uhm, i mean my Mane! XD ..more like i, chopped it off! now its fucking short...super ugly, no layer, no shape! but no, i do not regret!i've been taking care of it sooooooo piously this 1 month.. my ends are so dry & damaged, so i chopped it off! yeah, chopping it off was part of the taking-care-of process.. but sometimes, its so damaged that you can't "repair" so yeah, just snip it off lah! its damn short, that i don't even dare to let go.. it comes up to my neck! :\ and the fact that its curly.. need i say more??
but but but... after snipping my hair off, it looks so much more healthier and thicker now! its no where near frizzy now.. super tamed.. and smooth! really.
the secret? ah, that i'll tell you later!
now for the products i've bought & am trying now...
[i really find it so lazy to take pictures of my things and upload them but.. ahem *coughs* SOMEONE has requested me to take pictures of whatever i buy! and the fact that you follow my blog so diligently, i'll do it for you Jnanee!!! <3 and of course, for my other lovely friends who follow my blog mainly for my Beauty tips ;) ]
k, firstly.. the shampoos i am trying out! (and mind you, these are not the only ones i've tried.. i've tried tons more.. but these are the very new ones i bought.. and they are salon-brands).
Kerasys [Korean shampoo]

yeah, its a Volumising shampoo... my hair is thin, so i thought i could do some volume! well, mine doesn't look thin, for the fact that its super curly.. and yeah, curly hair naturally has loads more volume than straighter hair.. $18.90 at salons.. well not all salons i think.
Next up, Charles Worthington London

right: conditioner

yeah.. they are literally those sizes! and i don't remember exactly, but each costs $15 + you can get it at salons, i got mine in Watsons!
and the reason, why i didn't get the same type of shampoo & conditioner is because, both has the stuff i want...now did that make sense? like, the orange bottle(shampoo).. has argan oil in it! and that is what i need for my hair- OIL! the lavender color (conditioner) has ingrediants for frizzy hair, which also i need! LOL... so that explains it! XD
now.. i know, people are gonna go "omg you use so many different ones, its not good blah blah yadah yadah!" Lol.
well, you are SUPPOSE TO change your shampoos once in a while.. and that means.. AFTER YOU FINISH USING ONE FULL bottle, you can change to another brand! you have to change your shampoos regularly if not, your hair will get 'too used' to your current shampoo.. and later if you happen to change shampoo after very long, your hair will not be 'responsive' to the new one...if worse, it'll start dropping and then the dandruff comes in and all the other "good" stuff! :P
and, its not good to change before you finish a bottle, is because.. without finishing a full bottle, you'll never know the results of the shampoo! in the sense.. whether the shampoo works or not, whether it delivers what it promises, it is for your hair type and all that.. wanting to know, if a particular shampoo is good for your hair type or not, is only possible if you diligently stick to one bottle of shampoo and don't change shampoos in between! :DD
ok, my so-called main shampoo is the Silkpro Dandruff-care. I always always have a dandruff shampoo with me, no matter what others i use.. just in case of, any signs of dandruff.. well, not really the main shampoo.. but my 'emergency' shampoo! LOL
I use the Kerasys (korean shampoo) now, with my The Body Shop conditioner for dry/damaged/chemically treated hair and with my (i swear i don't know how to pronounce this!) Schwarzkopf Gliss, hair treatment mask in Shea Cashmere... and when my, Kerasys shampoo & Body Shop conditioner finishes, i'll start using the Charles Worthington ones!
ok, enough about the shampoos & conditioners already..
I bought this hair Brush for $35.. ok, i know.. just shoot me! hahahaha.. see it for yourself!

they are PURE bristles.. huh, so what you ask?

Its by KENT, made in England. It says, "Natural Shine. Pure bristles gives lustre and bounce for healthy hair. Prevents spilt-ends, reduces static and add volume."
Yes, the NATURAL SHINE part is fucking true! oh and i bought it in Watsons..
Here:

saw the shine? ah damn, my highlights kinda blocked it! Let me get the other side...

here it is! and no, i did not edit this picture except for the fact i just drew a box to highlight the shine! saw how smooth? cool uh..
Bristles does help the hair.. pure bristles! definitely not the ones they sell in Daiso for $2! those suck i swear! i feel $35 was worth! maybe for some of y'all, will think its a total waste! but that's just our individual preferences ;)
yeah, and this is 1 of the secret tool to beautiful hair..
but this wasn't the secret, i was mentioning earlier! definitely not.
my main man! is ...

DON'T LAUGH!!! hahahha.. ok i just did!
no i swear, this fella stinks.. but he's effing good! 100% PURE coconut oil..
okok some of my idiotic friends will go UK!!!!!!!! eh, that term i thought y'all ah! :P
sometimes.. the traditional method IS THE BEST! and i promise, THIS IS THE BEST!!!
yes it stinks, so don't wear it out.. come back from work or school and apply it! for me, after work i use it.. actually i soak my hair, not literally but use a lot a lot on my hair.. get it super darn oily & stinky.. wait like for 20 - 30 mins.. and then shampoo my hair.. THAT IS PROVIDED IF YOUR HAIR IS FREAKING DRY LIKE MINE! i need the extra oil.. and no, do not wash your hair every damn day, unless you have FREAKING OILY hair unlike mine! XD
on weekends, i'll like to give my hair a hot oil treatment.. i heat up this oil a lil, apply it on my hair.. wrap a towel around my head and leave it awhile.. and PLEASE! if you wanna try this, do wash it off before you step out of the house! LOL :PP
a better method, (but you need A LOT of oil for this).. warm up the oil, soak a towel in the oil itself and wrap the towel around your head! this more effective but erm, yeah you'll end up finishing 1 medium size bottle in 1 treatment!
Parachute isn't the only one i have.. i recently went JB and got Vatika, VVD Gold, Nihar... yes yes all the Indian brands.. trust me on this okay! if you want awesome hair, use coconut oil! not baby oil or even olive oil! yes, olive oil is good.. but not as good as the coconut oil!
Rule of thumb: the stinkier the oil is, the more effective it is! heheh
Yeah.. and i guess that's it for my Mane Attraction post!
With lots of hairy-love: ( sounds disgusting i know :P )
Gaya3 >.<
Well i've been forgetting to keep count but Days 6 & 7 were SUCCESS too! Tempting much. But its been a whole week of success! Proud of myself :))
